Dun is a horse color dilution that lightens the coat, with darker areas called “primitive markings”. Not all primitive markings are always present on each horse, and the degree to which they are expressed can also differ. It can also cause frosting.

Sunshine is a rare and relatively recently discovered horse color. It was first identified in the Standardbred x Tennessee Walking Horse Captain Sunshine and had only been observed in him and some of his offspring - until now.
